It was just last month we came across a talented young producer named Kid Atlaas based in Paris, France. We were quick to repost some of his tunes and aspired to have him featured in our VIBE.QUEST series. Gabriel Jourde, the artist’s name by birth, passed away suddenly over the weekend. Via his label Cosmonostro:”

We’re saddened to announce that one of the label [sic] most important figures, Kid Atlaas has passed away. This summer, he would have been celebrating with us the release of his forthcoming extended play titled ‘Gourmandises.’ We would like to express our admiration for him & his uplifting music. We feel gratitude for the confidence he placed in us during our brief time working with him. Everyone at Cosmonostro has been mourning his passing & wish to send their sincere condolences to his family & friends.”
